Useful Information

PE is on a Thursday, pupils should come to school dressed in their PE kit.

Homework is set on a Friday to completed by the following Wednesday. In KS2, this is usually set on Mathletics and Spelling shed, please find the links to these websites in the 'Useful Links' section.'

Year 6 pupils are to arrive at school between 8.45 and 8.50am, using the Main Gate, alongside the other Y5 and Y6 classes. Then the pupils will enter school by the right hand side fire door up the ramp. We ask that pupils only bring to school with them a coat and their lunch/water bottle. Book bags and planners should be brought in everyday.

DT Day

We had a superb DT day tasting and cooking Caribbean inspired foods. We tried a range of foods native to the area and then cooked and filled our own roti wraps. We weighed out the ingredients and made the dough for the roti bread and prepared all the ingredients for the fillings. We stuffed our cooked wraps and enjoying eating our culinary delights.

SAT Revision Homework - February Half-Term

We have sent the children home with some practise SAT resources as revision for their half-term homework. The questions and solutions are below if you would like to support your child with this or mark their work once it has been completed.

The spelling document is a breakdown of the spelling rules that have previously appeared in SAT assessments with some suggested words which use the same patterns. Feel free to look through this with your child and have a go at revising some of these previously taught rules and words between now and May.

Art Workshop

Y6 enjoyed participating in an Art workshop with local artist and former pupil, Georgia. The were inspired by our current English text, 'The Arrival' to create these fantastic pieces.

Meet the Teacher - 08.09.21

If you were unable to make the Meet the Teacher Zoom, please don't worry. Below is a copy of the slides for your information. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to be in touch.

K.I.R.F. Targets

Please support your child at home to learn their KIRF (Key Instant Recall Facts) Targets, these are changed half-termly and feed into our maths learning in school. It is vital that children are regularly working on their mental maths skills. The document below explains the KIRF Targets for Autumn 1 and suggests useful websites, which will support your child in building their knowledge and speed.

Home Learning
