PE is on a Tuesday and pupils should come to school dressed in their PE kit on this day.
Homework is set on a Friday to completed by the following Wednesday. In KS2, this is usually set on Mathletics and Spelling Shed. Please find the links to these websites in the 'Useful Links' section.'
We will be using the Main Gate, alongside the Y5 and Y6 classes and the children will enter school through the main entrance. We ask that pupils bring to school every day their lunch (if relevant), a snack, a drink of water and their reading book and planner,

DT Day - Caribbean Food
For our DT project, the children have learnt about traditional Caribbean cuisine. They learnt about how the range of flavours and the ingredients used within the dishes have had many influences from countries across the globe due how the diverse origins of the Caribbean population.
Children enjoyed a tasting session where they tried: jackfruit, coconut, mango, plantain and roti bread. They then used a range of skills to make dough for the roti bread and then chopped, squeezed, snipped and grated a vast range of ingredients to create their yummy Caribbean wraps!
World Book Day 2022
Dazzling Dolphins made fantastic efforts dressing up for World Book Day this year. They had a great day celebrating reading and sharing their favourite books with each other.
We had a visitor from a local artist: Georgia Brooks. Using images from our class book, 'The Arrival', children created biro sketches of characters from the book. Here are some examples of the amazing Artwork they produced . . .
In Spanish this half term we have been learning how to talk about our pets. The children now know a number of common pets in Spanish and are able to say what pets theu have and their names. They are also able to say which pets they do not have. Watch some of our 'Pet' presentations below.
In PE this half term, we have been mastering some tricky paired balances. Later this term we are looking forward to using the large apparatus. We will create routines individually and in small groups involving balances, rolls and different movements trying to use a wide variety of different gymnastic apparatus.
We have had an exciting visit from Sam Safari to kick off our North America topic. The children loved meeting the native North American animals and learning a little about the different habitats they live in.
We had a fantastic trip to Jorvik Viking Centre to enhance our learning on the Vikings. It was great getting to see artefacts from the Viking era and learning more about how Viking people lived.
Diwali Dance Workshop
We enjoyed a fantastic Dance Workshop where we learnt the story of Diwali and performed it through dance.
Black History Month Art Gallery
For Black History Month, we learnt about the black artist Kassou Seydou. We explored his artistic style and worked hard to create our own pieces of work in his style.
