Week Beginning 13.04.2020 - Easter Holidays Update

Hello Persevering Pumas!

I hope you're all well and enjoying the Easter holidays. We've been very lucky to have had some fabulous weather so I hope you've managed to enjoy your daily exercise outdoors and spend some time in the garden. In case you're looking for some new activities to enjoy at home this week, I've added a couple of new challenge sheets below.

I've also added a link to a well illustrated text suitable for children which explains Coronavirus and what is happening in our world right now. Why not give it a read, it might help to answer any questions you may have - you could even read it with a grown up so that they can help to answer your questions too!

Remember there's also plenty of time for you to work on Mrs Fuller's challenge where you can document your experience of your time at home as a journal or diary so that it can be shared with future generations. You could do this as a piece of writing, cartoon, through photos, as a song or anything else you think up using your fabulous imaginations.

I look to forward to hearing from you all again soon and seeing some photographs of how you've been spending your time over the Easter break. Remember I'm only at the end of an email if you have any questions too!

New home learning activities will be posted on Sunday evening next week ready for the first week of the Summer Term but for now enjoy the second week of your Easter holidays and stay safe!

Week Beginning 06.04.2020 - Easter Holidays!

Happy Easter Persevering Pumas!

This week brings the start of the Easter Holidays, therefore you don't have any learning activities to complete as you all deserve a well earned rest. I'm sure you all have lots of enjoyable things to do, make and play with in your houses and gardens but if you'd like some extra inspiration, you'll find it below.

Mrs Fuller has started a competition, you might have already seen it in the Grapevine, asking you to document your experience of your time at home as a journal or diary so that it can be shared with future generations. You could do this as a piece of writing, cartoon, through photos, as a song or anything else you think up using your fabulous imaginations. To aid you in this task or to give you some inspiration before you get started on your competition entry, I've added a document below which is a Covid-19 time capsule, feel free to use it and complete it as you wish - it'll certainly be interesting to look back on several years from now.

I'm sure many of you are eager to continue being creative during the Easter break. To help you with this, I've added an Easter Bingo sheet with lots of new and exciting creative challenges and activities for you to try. You can choose to do as many or as few as you wish - they are there as inspiration! However, if you do complete any of the creative activities I'd love to see, so please send me a photograph via email!
Below are a few extra craft activities that I've found online, feel free to try them out if you wish!
If you'd like to have a go at any PE or Science whilst on holiday, Miss Robinson has been busy updating the PE and Sport blog with fun active challenges for you to complete and Mrs Shoesmith has added lots of new activities to the Science page. You can complete any of these activities over the Easter break, have a look through to see what you might enjoy. Links to both of these pages are below.

Finally, remember to have a good rest and enjoy your time at home with your family. I'd love to hear from you, so please keep sending in emails of all the fantastic creative and active activities you do! It’s been a strange couple of weeks without seeing you all and I am missing you all a lot. Keep up the excellent work, I am so proud of how you’ve all taken home learning in your stride and put fantastic effort into everything you’ve done!

Stay safe everyone,

Miss Winkley
