We will now be giving ‘SPaG’ activities for English each week, focusing on spelling, punctuation grammar. These are the essential basic skills required for your year group in writing. Please see the resources entitled, Year 2 SPaG 8.6.20 in the attached resources.
We will be including some creative writing ideas in the creative learning log section below so that you still get chance to apply your writing skills and be imaginative.
***MAKE SURE TO SCROLL DOWN FOR YOUR CREATIVE TIME
From now on, we are going to switch our creative time activities to a project style approach, giving you more chance to choose the learning that interests you and really show off what you can do.
Our new topic for this half term is called, ‘Up, Up and Away’ and the next 3 weeks will focus on the History element of the topic, looking at the history of flight, whether this is aeroplanes, rockets, hot air balloons, helicopters or something else. Although ideas are given for many other subject areas too, please try to complete at least one History activity from the list or from your own ideas within the next 3 weeks, as this is our key skill focus.
Please see the attached KS1 home learning document for lots of ideas you could choose from. Remember to use our tier group email address to tell/show us what you have done each week for your ‘Up, Up and Away’ project.
Have fun Otters!
