Home Learning - Week Beginning 08.06.2020
Hello Adventurous Anacondas! Welcome to Week 9 of home learning. We hope you all had a lovely week and managed to spend some time outdoors despite the weather. Thank you to everyone who sent us an email last week, it was great to hear from so many of you and to see that you have made a great start to a new half-term. Please continue to send us emails and photographs as we love seeing what you've been up to and it's really important that we're able to stay in touch. This week will be continuing with our Anglo-Saxon topic where you'll be finding out about Anglo-Saxon villages and being very creative as you make your own! Enjoy your learning and continue to be reflective, effective, determined, resourceful and responsible superheroes.
Mr Khan, Ms Brooks and Miss Brown
This week's English is linked to our topic learning. In History this week, you'll be learning about Anglo-Saxon settlements. Linked to this, we'd like you to write a setting description of an Anglo-Saxon town or village. You will describe all that you can see, hear, smell and feel. As well as this, we would like you to log on to Spelling Shed to practise this week's spellings, read a book on Bug Club and the 60 Second Reads, and as always, remember to read your favourite stories at home too!
Year 3 Maths
Year 3 will begin recapping measurements. Please find the links to videos in the first document with the worksheets and answers below. Once you have completed the lessons, login into Mathletics to complete the assigned activities and don't forget to practise your times tables on TTRS too!
Year 4 Maths
Year 4 will begin recapping column addition. Please find the links to videos in the first document with the worksheets and answers below. Once you have completed the lessons, login into Mathletics to complete the assigned activities and don't forget to practise your times tables on TTRS too!
Your topic work this week continues with our Anglo-Saxon theme as you will be using the video links and information provided to find out about Anglo-Saxon villages and Anglo-Saxon houses. Use the document below to find out what you will need to research and how to present your findings in a creative way. Your research will also help you to complete the exciting DT project below. Also, you will explore the jobs held by Anglo-Saxons and create a job advert for your chosen Anglo-Saxon job.
Your DT learning links directly to the History learning. Once you've completed all of your research about Anglo-Saxon houses and villages, it's time to design and make your very own Anglo-Saxon village! We would like you to be as creative as possible, using any resources you can find at home. Read the document below to find out more information about the different steps to successfully making your own Anglo-Saxon village. Be creative, have fun and enjoy!
