WB 13.07.20 Week 14

Home Learning - Week Beginning 13.07.2020

Hello Anacondas and welcome to our final week of Home Learning! Congratulations to you all for working incredibly hard this year despite the very unusual and unprecedented circumstances we have faced. Even though you've been learning at home, we've been impressed by all your dedication, determination and resourcefulness towards your learning. It's been an absolute pleasure teaching you all this year and we look forward to welcoming you back to school in September and teaching you all again. Ms Brooks has the pleasure of teaching the current Year 4s next year and Mr Khan and Miss Brown will be teaching the Year 3s.

We'd love for you all to join our final Zoom call of the year on Thursday morning so we hope to see you then.

As always, please send us an email update. Enjoy the 7-week holidays with your families and friends and keep safe - we'll miss you! Mr Khan, Ms Brooks and Miss Brown

English

This week, our English learning is linked to our topic as we'll be writing a non-chronological report about the Anglo-Saxons. You will consolidate all your previous learning when writing your report and activities have been assigned on Education City for you to work through. As well as this, we would like you to log on to Spelling Shed to practise this week's spellings, read a book on Bug Club and complete the Reading Comprehension - 60 Second Reads, and as always, remember to read your favourite stories at home too!

Year 3 Maths

Year 3 will be learning about mass this week. Please follow the link below to the teaching videos, with the worksheets and answers beneath that. Once you have completed the lessons, login into Mathletics to complete the assigned activities.

Year 4 Maths

Year 4 will be learning about angles this week. Please follow the link below to the teaching videos, with the worksheets and answers beneath that. Once you have completed the lessons, login into Mathletics to complete the assigned activities.

History & Computing

To conclude our Anglo-Saxons topic, we have combined your History learning with your Computing learning this week. We'd like you to look back on the Anglo-Saxon learning you've completed over the past 10-weeks and collate this together in a presentation using a piece of computer software or tablet application. Think carefully and creatively about how best to present your knowledge, learning and photographs from across the Anglo-Saxon topic to teach others about this interesting and important period of British history.
