Week beginning 1st November 2021

Monday

Today we will be working on one of our new KIRF targets for this half term which is:

Know square numbers to 144 (e.g. numbers multiplied by themself so 1x1 = 1, 2x2 = 4, 3x3 = 9, 4x4 = 16, 5x5 = 25 etc. The square numbers are 1, 4, 9, 16, 25 and so on).

KIRFs means Key Instant Recall Facts and they are number facts that we need to practise regularly and know instantly so that we can be more successful and speedy mathematicians in our daily maths work. Please watch the videos to learn about square numbers and then complete your task sheet.

Tuesday

Today we will be working on another one of our new KIRF targets for this half term which is:

Know factor pairs of a number (e.g. the factor pairs of 8 are 1x8 and 2x4 because these are the only pairs that multiply to make the number so the factors of 8 are 1, 2, 4 and 8).
