Week beginning 22nd November 2021
Today we will be working on two of our KIRF targets for this half term which are:
- Know square numbers to 144 (e.g. numbers multiplied by themself so 1x1 = 1, 2x2 = 4, 3x3 = 9, 4x4 = 16, 5x5 = 25 etc. The square numbers are 1, 4, 9, 16, 25 and so on).
- Know factor pairs of a number (e.g. the factor pairs of 8 are 1x8 and 2x4 because these are the only pairs that multiply to make the number so the factors of 8 are 1, 2, 4 and 8).
KIRFs means Key Instant Recall Facts and they are number facts that we need to practise regularly and know instantly so that we can be more successful and speedy mathematicians in our daily maths work. Please watch the videos to learn about square numbers and factors then complete your task sheets.
Today please catch up on any Maths work from the week already if not complete and then spend at least 20 minutes on Times Tables Rock Stars and 20 minutes on Mathletics (assigned activities and/or Mathletics Live) during the day using your personal login found in the front of your planner.
