Support for Families

Who?

Miss Brown and Mrs Middleton make up our Child and Family Support team and strive to offer high quality support to all the children and families in our school community.

What?

Miss Brown is our Child and Family Support Worker. A Family Support worker is in place to provide continued support and assistance to our families here at Greenside. We believe that for our children to thrive in their school environment parents need to feel confident, empowered and supported. Our team is here for you at times of crisis and to help our families to access the relevant services they may need. These can include food support, debt management, housing applications, attendance and referrals to external services.

Mrs Middleton is our Learning Mentor. A Learning Mentor’s aim is to help the child to realise their full potential and be a consistent, trusted and approachable adult throughout their school career. A Learning Mentor is there to provide support to the children to overcome barriers to their learning or affect their overall wellbeing.

Our Family Support Team are both members of our Designated Safeguarding Team working within local policy and national legislation to keep children safe.
