Inclusion Advisory Team- Free Parent/Carer Workshops

Our monthly parent, carer workshops are free to any parent or carer of children and young people living in Leeds who are autistic or who are believed to be neurodivergent. Setting staff are also welcome to join these sessions for free, but should be aware that the focus is support in the home. The information and resources they gather from the sessions, should be used to support, and empower parents and carers of children and young people in their setting. Rescheduled – FREE IAT Parent, Carer, Professional Workshops – Puberty, Sexuality and Relationships links to book in the article and below (primary age) on March 18th 9.45am to 11.15am; (secondary and P16 age) on March 25th 9.45am to 11.15am We will explore why some children and young people may need more support to understand puberty, relationships, sexuality and sex. Alongside this we will discuss and introduce strategies and resources for supporting children and young people to better understand these themes.

• toothPASTE 09.10.2025 toothPASTE is a free, online resource developed with parents/carers and professionals to support autistic children's oral health, but which is also relevant to many children with additional needs. It includes small, practical steps to help with toothbrushing, reducing sugary foods and drinks, and attending dental appointments. The resources are autism-informed, non-judgemental, and easy to use.
